Amp question....keeps cutting out

I have a 900 watt 5 channel amp in my tacoma. It is cutting In and out...funny thing is...I can wiggle the hp/lp filter switch and then it works again. So is the amp bad? Don't think I can get into repairing those little switches. Maybe contact cleaner?
