2023 Black Tundra Trd Pro

Pretty new to posting so near with me.
I have a 2023 Trd pro. I currently have a Retrax pro xr tonneau cover. My thinking was to use the t track to attach a soft topper camper shell. I contacted Best too and they said it wasn’t possible. Has anybody seen this done before?
