Oil dips fine. Upper engine area clean. Brake fluid looks fine. Transmission fluid looks fine.

I have brown, semi-clear fluid coming out of under my truck.

Whatever it is it’s dripping from my entire undercarriage. I have skids on and the tops side of the skids are clean, not dripping from engine bay.

    so what.the hell. Is this?

Best I can guess I ran over about a gallon of soy sauce? But it’s definitely not soy sauce. I tasted it (seriously). Also, it seems to be worst in my front passenger wheel well but was dripping from the front bumper and I can see drips in the driver well also.

I probably ran over something, right? This isn’t a concern? Please reassure me this isn’t a major. No engine lights.

When I walked out to my driveway this morning it honestly looked like engine oil had poured out of the entire front end of my truck.

Also, it washed off the driveway without a degreaser.

For once in my life... A boring class/training is actually going to help!

From the pattern of the "spatter" whatever it is is not coming from above (the engine) it was flung upward and then started dripping down. Also, the force was minimal when it was flung all over, so most likely at low speed.

Same with the fluid on the paint. Introduced from the bottom up, obviously by the outside of the tire.

*DISCLAIMER* I am not smart and you should not take anything I say as professional advice, but I'd say you are good to go.

Bonus points for actually tasting it.

Imagine it was juice from a garbage truck or a leaking septic truck.

Give the whole truck a good washing. Exterior and undercarriage. Get her all cleaned up and then go for a drive and see if it's still there. If so, might have a better view of where it's coming from.

I ran over a tube of grease in the road. It left a similar pattern.

Pretty sure that is road debris.

Do you work in marketing by chance? It sounds like it must be the sewage of someone rather prominent, with a taste for the finer things in life.

If it washed off the driveway easily, seems likely to be benign (for the truck, not the OP).
