Bought the truck early 2019 as a personal work vehicle. Took some time to find, but was able to get a WT model with a long bed. It remained stock for three years through countless projects before we decided to dual purpose and begin using it for more family fun. I'm also the type that will invest 10x time and effort on something to DIY rather than buy and bolt on.

Will keep an updated pic and list here:

    • Energy Suspension bushings

Powder coating is extremely DIYable. Everyone knows red brakes work better.

Can't stress how nice wrapping the steering wheel is. I opted for no perforations.

Another member posted a link to East Detailing. By no means am I an affiliate type of dude, but they email a 10% off link. Putting it here in the event someone tries it and it works. If it doesn't, let me know and I'll remove the code.

Took a cool pic this morning with the rear stuffed and the front at full droop. Also tested ATRAC for the first time by floating both a front and rear.

Needed to upgrade the rear in prep for a travel trailer.

    New v old:

"Customized" the Toytec shackles. They apparently didn't R&D these. When used in the closer position they strike some bolts in the bed.

You're an absolute unit of a man if you can get Energy Suspension bushings into the double wrapped eye of Deaver U748s. I'm not and had to press them in. All others were easy with hand force.

Install pic the next morning with light. Things need to be buttoned up and torqued.

Should've upgrade the headlamps 6yrs ago. Did the tails to make the rear match this decade. Boost Auto tow mirrors for the new camper.

No, 3M's 2080 satin dark gray doesn't match. Had some leftover so gave it a shot. Will swap over to the Oracal 970RA-937.

Took this 35 footer for its maiden tow straight to the CAT scales. The 37s are squishy. Going to pull it with OEMs before making the call on purchasing a second set of wheels. Went with the ProPride WDH. First setup was good but still need to tweak a bit.

Towing update: took the TT for its first interstate drive yesterday and had moderate winds around 13-15MPH. Using the Propride hitch was great. Still getting used to dragging something this big, but the winds didn't introduce sway as the two were jolted as a unit.

Had put the sway bar back on and aired up to 48PSI. Big improvement in handling/feel when towing, although I prefer the bar off for normal driving. Too bad these weren't like Jeeps with an electronic sway bar disconnect.

Ambient was 75degF and trans pan/converter, oil and coolant all stayed in check. Everything remained sub 200degF except for the converter when under load and unlocked.
