Hey guys I have a 2008 Toyota tundra limited 5.7 150k miles just got it used last week and needed a new alternator after a few days, had it replaced, dash lights are still on check engine, VSC light, trac control, and my 4LO light is blinking. Ran the code and it calls for a transmission controller sensor, but I was reading on here a guy had the same issue and had the sensor replaced and still has all the same problems. What should I check to avoid getting the wrong item replaced? I’m no mechanic, I know simple stuff but electronic work is above me. Thanks guys!!

Every fuse in the engine fuse box as well as the interior fuse box would be my start.

They were all good. I put a new alternator in it and a new battery in yesterday still had all these problems, went to crank it this morning and the battery is dead. It just made the rapid clicks

The code is throwing a transmission control sensor. They aren’t too expensive, should I just go ahead and change it and see if that’s the culprit?

Loose ground?? check the alternator nut? ensure its tight. check wiring, to ensure rodent didn't get it. Check battery ground to endure is clean and tight

You have electrical problems not a failed sensor. When mine gave me a code for the transmission range sensor it was because the sensor wasn’t getting power, fuse was blown due to a short.

Check for rodent damage to the wiring and visually make sure all the fuses are good. Rare for the transmission sensor to fail. Even if it did it shouldn’t drain the battery.

These are all the same symptoms I was getting before I had the alternator replaced. I’ll pull the wheel and check the alternator ground to make sure it’s making good contact. When all of these lights came on initially it happened right after I put the truck in 4WD for the first time. The new alternator shouldn’t let the battery die this soon I wouldn’t think. But I will check. I noticed under my steering wheel down by the accelerator l, a white 5 prong pigtail just hanging by itself and it looks like the receiving end that it hooks up to is near my interior fuse box. Should this be connected?

It won’t reach all the way over there to the fuse box area though. Problem?

Ever figure this out? My initial issue was the 4Hi not engaging and was flashing. I took apart the actuator and Unjammed it. Then took off battery and reinstalled.

now I’m having the same lights on as you described. In process of getting inspection now not sure what to do
