Let's Talk Knives

I donut have a problem buying knives…


The finish between these two knives is drastic…. Not sure if should reach out to bladehq around this or not… considering there is a pretty sizable make up for a paint job I’m considering it. The standard edge has the sprinkles under the pink so they are a bit recessed. There also doesn’t appear to be a clear coat over the entire body, the double edge is the opposite… sprinkles raised and on top of the pink and there is a visible clear coat over the entire body. Should I care?

 

Reach out and explain the issue. Worst case, they don't do anything and you still have 2 awesome knives

 

Unless they were being sold as the same model it’s not an issue. They look like 2 separate distinct models. I would expect different finishes.

 

For the price I definitely would.

 

But also, you know this just becomes a fun conversation starter

Got this Microtech LUDT yesterday. It’s pretty badass. I highly recommend it if anyone has the opportunity to get one.

 

I've wanted one of those, and they're not always available. What blade steel did they ship you? I've been reluctant to purchase when they've been available because of the disclaimer they'll ship whatever steel is available. Not to be a snob, but I don't want to pay that price for S35VN.

 

I got M390 so I’m happy. Got it from DLT.

 

I’m pretty sure they will send 204p, m390 or Elmax. Depending on what they have in stock, all great steels but I too wish they would mark what they use on the blade somewhere

 

That ludt is super nice, I tried to get one last week when bladehq dropped their dessert warrior edition but it was literally sold out in less than a minute

A buddy of mine just gifted me a few slabs of Micarta, never really messed with the stuff but going to attempt to make some Knucks, beads or maybe scales out of them.

Roughed out my first knuck out of the micarta I was gifted. This one has glow in the dark epoxy resin in the middle, brass liners, red g10 liner and sea foam micarta… matched the bh theme pretty well

 

Nice? Looks painfully beautiful, lol. I love how you got the colors matching on your weapons and edc tools!

Pocket junk…worry stone/knuck a lot of edc dudes carry them around, One finger knuckle duster essentially. I would personally never use one ( and probably a really good way to break one’s finger) but they are pretty popular among the edc guys and I had the materials on hand to make it. I like to get crafty
