    Hello.
    I have a 2022 TRD Pro, with the original Falken Wildpeak A/T3Ws: 285/65 R18 SL @ 2601 max load & 51 psi max. (I am generally happy with these tires after 12,000 miles, for multi-use application: 70% highway + 30% mild 4WD off-roading. I run them at 35psi.)

I plan to soon be pulling my 4500lb (loaded wt) ATC trailer on long trips out west. Including tongue weight I will be maxed out at my allowable truck payload of 1,600 lbs.

I do not want to change my BBS rims. What tires would you recommend? I am leaning towards the Falken Wildpeak LT285/65R18 10 plys @ 3640 max load & 80 psi max. I figure I could ride them at 50psi when not towing the trailer and 80psi when towing. (I tow a lot of heavy loads with a 1 ton pickup and have found that Michelin 80 psi E-series tires are very dependable. I use Michelin LTX A/T2s.)

Thanks for any opinions & advice, Ed

Farm truck scratches, dings, and mud. Lots of mud.
I run cooper discoverer ten plys. They've handled great and lasted longer than my last two sets of tires. My rig is a farm truck that gets beat on down miles of hand made forest and highway contract roads. That's not coynting the super twisty Boston Mountain 2-lane highways.

That being said. My wife has had toyos on her suburu, and They've out-performed her last set of Coopers. Though they weren't 10 ply I'm still eyeballing them for my next set.

I wouldn't run any tires at 50 psi unloaded (that's a ROUGH ride). I have Wildpeak AT3s 305/65-18 and keep them at 30 psi all around and 35-40 psi when I have dirt bikes in the back and tow my utility trailer with three more dirt bikes in it. Towing your 4500lb trailer is heavier but I still wouldn't air up to 80 psi. That's just my two cents worth.

Why are you changing tires? Your current tires have plenty of load carrying capacity for your truck and payload configuration. 5200# for the rear axle. Exceeds the rear axle rating by a good bit.

this ^ tires on your truck now can handle all the loads and towing that your truck can.

I'm more concerned with them holding up to my roads than I am the load. I rarely tow anything extremely heavier than my 2500 lb tractor. I've ran 6 ply of several brands that didn't last more than a few months. My coopers are rumored to cause steering wheel shaking at highway speeds. I've been trying to figure out that issue for a while now. That's why.

For your use, you bet. For the OP that I was responding to, maybe not.

I misread this in my emails as a response to my ha! In my my defense your answer kind of fits my question as well.

A little off subject, but can you answer this question for me. I see you running 305/65/18. With the wildpeak. I assume your rims size are 18x8.5

I have the trd pro rims from a 2020 pro i want to put on my 2014 tundra sr5, have you ran into any issues at all? Discount tire wont put them on, saying the rims is not wide enough. I do have a 3 inch lift with 20 inch rims, but i want to run the trd pro rims at 305/65/18.
