Anyone have any tire suggestions? The KO2s are E rated and ride nicely on pavement at 48 PSI. I know there’s no free lunch but trying to avoid highway drone. Don’t care about cost or tread life.

That's a super common problem I've seen on KO2's. They're fine on gravel and dry dirt, but horrible once you hit mud.

If you drive in gumbo mud alot, check out the Cooper ST Maxx. I've run them in northern Alberta and they powered through the thick, sticky, clay based mud we have here. There was next to no highway drone that I notice and they had great on-road manners as well.

I went with Falken Wildpeaks on my my '22, because I wanted the 3 peak snow rating as well as a slightly less aggressive tire. Otherwise I'd have stayed with the ST Maxx.

Anything with a decent tread depth is going to throw mud when you hit the hard ball. It would seem that you need a tracked vehicle.

You got got? Did someone tell you they were a good mud tire?

For mud you want an open tread pattern. The KO2's are not it. I've run Toyo Open County M/T's on my Tundra for the past 120k miles and I run them on my Tacoma and they are an amazing self cleaning mud terrain tire. Granted they're a bit loud on the pavement but like with most things there's a give and take.
