My daughter needs a decent double cab 1st Gen Tundra to replace her 2000 Tundra access cab. I have never purchased a vehicle thru Ebay, this truck looks great but are vehicles from MD prone to rust? The pics look great and low milage, but again rust in MD?

Yes, Maryland is in the rust belt. Yes, rust is prevalent there.

But if this is for your daughter, I'm a father, I would bail based on this alone, from the auction info:

But if that's not enough, there's so much lipstick on this pig, frame-wise with paint and coverup, the frame being unsound is probably a lot of the issue. Here is all I need to see. The diff housing weld-up hackjob is enough I'd run away. But maybe you're different. Funny, 50 pics of the body, only 5 of the frame. Speaks volumes.

Paint runs all over the skid plate, it's almost comical.

Eddy...the worst rust issues here in my communist state of MD are in the two western counties (one of which I live in). Do yourself a favor and pay for a CARFAX on the truck. No, not everything shows up/makes it to CARFAX. But it is usually accurate on where the truck was titled, maintained and spent its life. Looking at all that coating on the truck; I'd bet it's from the Northeast/New England area. And if that's the case, it may have more rust than you can imagine. I ran the phone number in the listing for "Annie" and it returns to Master Auto Group in Edgewood, MD. That's northeast of Baltimore so it's hard to say where that truck has lived its life. It looks good but you never now until you go look at it.

Ditto on all of @Shifty' comments. Someone has tried to obfuscate/cover up rust problems. My hackles went up as soon as I saw under the hood...look at all that rust! The truck was titled and spent most of its like in MA.

It’s a no for me. The under hood shots show what every piece of metal on that truck really looks like. Rusted. How bout the giant square diff cover patch. Or the rear brake adjuster and parking brake cable just dangling. Drop in bedliner? We all know what’s lurking under there. This truck is the stuff of nightmares. Pretty. And pretty f’ed up. Pass.

Oh, and we all know they actually measured that out before welding it on to ensure proper volume, right? And set the correct fil plug height ... there is a fill plug, right?
