2020 trd sport - not the JBL audio system. Just wanting to add some depth to my music. I’m looking at the 13” single sub stealth box and probably a matching single channel amp. Any recommendations or alternatives that people have experience with?

It’s been about a decade since i put any kind of subs in a car so all the stuff i was familiar with (eclipse subs/ phoenix gold amps) are pretty much not around anymore.

Are you talking about the JL (not JBL) stealthbox? They dont make one with the 13" only the 10".

I had the crewmax one with the 10's for a while, its a super nice setup but these subs really do better with a ported box, so i sold it and went with the same subs in a ported box from James at Tech12Volt (a lot cheaper than the stealthbox fyi).

I had one in my 2011 crewmax with an Alpine Amp. It was nice, but they are a bit overpriced honestly.

Check out fox acoustics. They sell a box and will give recommendations on the sub to use with it.

I had 2 JL 10s thin subs, sounded amazing! JL HD750 amp, custom box.

Couple of questions. Did you have the JBL system? Once the subs were added, did you feel like the stock door/dash speakers were drowned out by the bass?

I did have the JBL system. I changed all of the speakers in the truck to Focal Flex and used a JL 8 channel amp for those.
