Is 2022 Landcruiser Air Filter Same as 2022 Tundra, the reason I am asking this question is because I want to get a dry filter for my 2022 tundra but no one has a dry filter. I do not want the Trd oil filter but AFE has a Land Cruiser dry filter for the link. And I was wondering if that would work on the 2022 tundra as well because I think they have similar engines or the same. I had the AFE dry filter blue one in my 5.7 L 2008 tundra and it lasted 200,000 miles and it was great. So I was wanting to get the same for my 2022 tundra. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

I’m not sure if this is helpful but I put a K&N filter in my 05 Sequoia when it was new. I clean it once or twice a year, re-oil it and put the same filter back in. I’m at 276,000 and still do not burn a drop of oil between oil changes. I have never cleaned or replaced fuel injectors or anything else in the intake system. I just purchased the TRD (same as K&N) filters for my 22 Tundra and plan to do the same. I really think you will be just fine unless you prefer to not maintain an oiled filter. I get that also if you prefer that. I’m hoping to get 200+ out if mine also.

I have had drop ins since the early 90's, my last was TRD cold air intake, went back to drop in and say what you want but the truck doesn't lie. I will stick drop ins.

I have read that K&N are designed to be high flow, thus their (small) HP gain claim. But doesn't high flow also imply less filtering especially if the small particles? Just wondering...

Ok wow thanks for the update about afe drop in air filters. I am getting 20 mpg per tank on my hybrid platinum. Hope they help with better mpg and throttle response as it did in my 2008 5.7 tundra lasted 238k

I have the TRD drop ins and they seem to work great. I like the longevity of the washable reusable K&N type filters.

Nice. I’m a big fan. Ran them in my Tacoma as well.

Hmm, wonder if the AFE Dry Filters are worth the extra over the TRD Filters?
I can get the set of TRD filters for round 80+ shipped. The AFE Pro Dry S are $155.
