Hi all. My '21 came with the halogen lights and LED DRLs. I don't want to do the conversion to full LED headlights just yet, but are there white halogen bulbs that can at least make them similar colors? Yellow looks stupid in my opinion.

probably a HID kit with close to a 6000K color temp. I would suggest just biting the bullet and doing the swap now. Seems like you intend to do it.... buy once instead of paying for an upgrade twice or more.

I've personally used Philips CrystalVision Ultra and Hella Optilux XB Series. They last about a year full time on (DRL).

I may go against the crowd, but I don't like Toyota LED. It is way too bluish, a bit hard on eyes in darkness. Especially harsh in full darkness, hue is so unnatural. I wrapped both Tundra and Sequoia headlights in polyurethane film, mostly for abrasion, UV and rock protection, but it took away a bit of blue with it as well.

Like yourself, I plan on doing the LED upgrade in the near future. I recently installed some Phillips Xtreme vision halogen bulbs I got off scamazon for $60. The low beams are much brighter than stock, high beams about the same. I wouldn’t say they are crystal white, but they are much whiter than the stock bulbs. I would say 3700K colour temp. I didn’t want to buy LED bulbs or HID kit for the truck. $60 bulbs will get me by for now until I get the LED housings.

I went with 6k bulbs from Auxbeam. They have been great and for $75 for the headlights and dogs, it was a significant upgrade over stock.

Despite their short lifespan, try the Sylvania Silver Star. I would stay away from the Silver Star Ultra...they are too hot and the Stock Housings may not survive the heat. You will find mixed reviews on these...however, I have been using these for years on my Gen 1 and Gen 2.5 Tundras without issue. Sometimes they last about a year, sometimes 2 years. I always carry a spare pair in the vehicles.

It’s easier to just upgrade to LED. You have to take it all apart just to remove the bulb, might as well just do it once. Make sure you keep track of each screw, they are not all the same 10mm.
