So, let me start by saying I probably should have been able to answer this question from searching and previous threads, but the more I read, the more confused I get.

My Tundra is a 2020 in Cement. I'd love for the grill pieces to match and get rid of the chrome

I don't at all mind keeping the factory center black portion of my grill, I like the looks of it and I like not having to spend in excess of $300 dollars for the TSS to work correctly.

Sooo, is my only option to purchase a Cement top bulge piece and a TRD PRO grill in Cement - then sell whichever black middle piece I don't use?

Just trying to make sure there isn't a more economical path to this solution.

Correct. You would purchase the grill and then separate it from the center piece and install yours. You would just have to take your time and be careful with the clips so that they don't break. Price the Pro grille and the regular grilles to which would be cheaper. Find what you want and see if your dealer will price match it. That would keep you from having to pay shipping charges.

This is a cheap option, but I don't know that the 2020 current black grill piece will fit into this Cement surround/bottom piece?

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I know this will fit the truck, as 14 and up are the same... But can I remove the black grill on this one and put mine in?

Satin black roof, 18” KO2’s, satin black powder coated steel rims, tri fold tonneau cover. Led lights interior, exterior. Trd pro grill. 13” ryonnair antenna. OEM LED headlights.
I recently swapped to a TRD pro grill and had to separate it from the gloss black surround.. as mentioned take your time, thin flathead screwdriver and a Phillips are all you need

Taco vinyl makes grills, surrounds, and bulges. They will separate the parts for you if you email them as ask. That keeps you from wasting money on extra parts you already have. BUT, and insert WITHOUT ANY BEZELS runs $599 plus shipping, as quoted to me this morning.

also, for those saying the grills from a 14 will fit a 21, I have been told by two separate aftermarket manufacturers that the 2018 and newer will not accept the old grills. I so badly like the 2017 pro grill but can’t find anyone to make it in the 18+ years. Maybe they are wrong???

I had a '17PRO grill in my 2020 SR5 at one time. 14-21 are all the same. I bet what they told you was sensor related.

The grilles will all fit the 14-21. As @ThatGuyTheCooler said, they tell you that they won't fit due to the TSS sensor that will need to be relocated. There are a couple of options for the relocation.

Exactly...sensor related. I just put the 17 Pro grille on my 2020.

You don't disable it. You move the sensor.
