Have owned this truck for less than one week. Noticed on the drivers side, there’s a section of clear film at the lower front of the bed between the wheel well and cab. There were some small air bubbles at the edge that Iv worked out for the most part. Just last night I noticed a larger maybe 1/2” area on the passenger side that’s pulled away. Couldn’t get it to stick back with pressure. I would assume this is applied at factory and an adhesive backed piece. Doesn’t look like stuck on similar to window film or vinyl wrap with an alcohol solution.
Want to fix this myself before it gets dirty pulls away even more. Just wondering if anyone knows how they apply this piece at the factory…

I'd bring it to the dealership and have them replace both under warranty. You may have other issues down the road when the warranty is up.

I was going to try and remedy myself because I just picked it up last Friday after waiting almost three months, and didn’t want it sitting at the dealership waiting for a fix. Also not sure if I’d trust them to do the work.. But I think you’re right. They should just replace both so they’re perfect and be done with it.

Nope get that warranty in play. You don’t need to get it done tomorrow. Make them aware then give them the truck when you go vacation somewhere and won’t be using it. We get all our major stuff done when we know our vehicles will be sitting for a time frame.

Are you sure that isn't the chip guard? It's there too keep from rocks chipping the paint.

Pretty sure that's what he's talking about. The clear PPF vinyl type material. Mine has the same "bubble" that's at the edge of the chip guard and lifted off the surface, so now it's got some dirt/dust stuck to the adhesive backing. Need to have mine replaced under warranty as well.

Yes, as 4genRunner stated… it’s the clear vinyl stick on at the lower front of bed, not the textured rubberized rocker panel spray on that’s applied before paint. Going to snap some photos this morning before work then call dealership today so it’s on record. Thank you also Hella Krusty !!
