    700 miles west to east on highway 2. I’ve done it a few times. But yes, they are along the Clark Fork River west of Thompson Falls.

    We were not far from each other in the summers. Probably hit some of the same mountains. I was nw of Lewistown on my uncles ranch a lot.

    They both grew up in WI. Moved to north Idaho in ‘74 and into a house not far from the ID/MT border in ‘75. We moved once in ‘89 to a different place (still in same county, but closer to Sandpoint). They moved to western MT part time when my dad started working at a hydro plant there in around 2002(?) and they moved there on 60 acres full time when he retired about 5-6 years ago. They sold their house and 21 acres in ID two years ago for a crazy amount…

    Bonners Ferry was the town I went to school in. Grew up in Moyie Springs through middle school, then moved to Naples.

    Drove around a bunch of my old haunts yesterday with my daughters to show them where I used to get in trouble.

    Doesn’t ring a bell, but I’ve not been around there much since I graduated in ‘94, and before then only if it was someone I went to school with. Funny thing about that area - you could be second generation but if your grandparents or great grandparents weren’t from there you were still an outsider. And my parents never have been the type to play the politics and positioning BS that is so much a part of a small town like that.

    Oh they were there back then. I knew a family up there back in my Dodge Diesel days. Her name is Micheline and her husbands name is Jason (I think) had a daughter and son. I graduated in '93, so we are close to the same age.
