So here is my dilemma.. I called Toyota and inquired about 2019 TRD PRO led headlight housings. They are $546 Cdn (each) and non returnable because they don’t match the VIN of my truck. I know I need the harness to make them work which is no problem. I’m just hesitant to buy them without no warranty or anything. I also see there are the Morimoto headlights, and a few others that are most likely Chinese (found on Amazon). Are the Toyota lights still the better buy?? I’ve heard the Morimoto’s have slightly better light output than Toyota OEM’s.. but also cost more. I imagine I will get a warranty with the Morimoto’s though.. I also have a work friend that has a 2019 TRD pro with the OEM LED’s and he has offered to buy them under his name as they would be returnable because they match his truck VIN.. he is waiting for his 2023 Tundra currently..

Don’t need a vin to order OEM headlights. Just the right part number. ihacker harness is the wiring you need. Don’t overthink the warranty. The setup works.

I have the part numbers that’s how they looked up the price for the lights. Parts guy of course tells me because they are associated with a different truck model, and don’t match my VIN/ build then they are non returnable.. just sucks when I’m spending over $1K for lights that have probably been sitting on a shelf for some time now and I’m sol if one is a dud.. not likely but still lol just wondering if the Morimoto’s are popular.. I will definitely reach out to ihacker for the harness.. now to try and remember my PayPal pw lol

If you don’t need the item right away, Black Friday they are usually on sale. Around 350 per headlight. Each dealership is different on pricing. Different Holidays usually offer different specials.
Morimotos are nice, the amber backlights are sharp looking but it does run more than the OEM LED.

Are you saying $350 canuckian? Or US?

Sparks Parts is US$291 a light right now.

I don't know if Sparks ships to Canada but use tundras.com discount code of 5% off the subtotal..
I don't think they require a VIN number to purchase.

Once you swap them, you'll have no intention of returning them.

I would worry about a thing. Worse come to worse, replace them on your buddy's truck and have him warranty it. And since he is buying them then not an issue. This why I hate dealers. Always some BS with them.

Wow even with the exchange rate that’s a good price!! I’ll contact them this week to see if they can ship to Canada. Yeah I even said to parts guy I’m like if it’s a Toyota part it should be warrantied no matter the vin matching or not.. annoying
