I'm new to the forum, tundra and lifts so I am looking for some help. I would like to lift my 21 CM platinum 2 inches. I am thinking that 5100s at the top setting, in all 4 corners, while keeping the oem springs would be an economical way to achieve that. However I would also like to maintain the factory rake since I like that look. What recommendations do you have for a rear end lift that keeps the rake and minimizes stress on suspension components.?

All joking aside, the rear 5100’s are not adjustable. Best bet with the 5100s is the mid setting, gives you some lift while maintaining rake. If you want to lift the rear, look at coachbuilder shackles.

    welcome to the site.

Understood about rear 5100s as not adjustable. Looking for advice on what is the best option for achieving lift approximating factory rake. I was looking at CB. Maybe I should call them for options. Thanks,

Coachbuilder +2s will give you closest to the factory rake with the 5100 setup you are thinking of going with.

I have Falcons at the 2.5” setting (similar to what you are looking at with the 5100s.
I have the CB +1s and it has a nice slight rake but not as much as factory.

I've bounced around a bit on my 19.

Front has remained static with 5160's on middle, 2 CB shims driver, 1 passenger. Truck sits level left/right and eliminated all but ~.5" of rake.

Installed CB +2 shackles and added bags for towing. That whole thing gave me more rear lift than I cared for, especially after also adding RAS.

Removed shackles and went back to factory now with poly bushings, increased RAS to black disc and I am sitting at exactly 2" of rake. Factory is 2.5".

Figure out what your plans are and go from there. Bags add about .5" at 5 psi. RAS adds about 1-1.5" depending on setting. If neither is an option, I believe AAL add about 1.5-3" and there are also lift blocks. Hope that helps.

Basic options for the rear would be:

    - Extended shackles; inexpensive and simple to install; can over-flex factory springs; maintains close to factory ride characteristics.
    - Basic single add a leaf; adds about 1.5" of lift; can made ride firmer; shoulders loads better.
    - Three leaf add a leaf; adds about 1.5 to 2" of lift; can improve ride over single add a leaf. Shoulders loads well.
    - Simple block; worst option, IMO, as it can induce/exacerbate axle wrap and cause other issues; maintains factory ride; cheap.
    - New leaf springs: most expensive of the basic options but simple and robust; can be tuned to maintain good ride AND shoulder heavy loads.

I had slightly longer shackles for a long while and they worked well. I changed to a three leaf add a leaf and like it better. I've also run air bags for several years which probably saved my factory leaves from dying an ignominious death. I don't use the bags for lift, just for load leveling. I usually have 6-800 lbs in the bed including the topper and tow often.
