So I've gone through initial 'ordering' excitement and am now in sit and wait mode.
In short, it's gonna be a while.
I've watched every video I can find on Tundra TRD Pros. Played with the build n price to see different pictures. Downloaded a pic of my 'ordered' truck and have it on my phone to gaze at from time to time (I know...sad, right?). Read every article.Looked at magazines in Wal Mart while my wife shopped for stuff we don't need.
And all that got me to thinking, I can't be the only one.

So how are YOU passing the time awaiting your _insert-model-here_ arrival? Is there a support group somewhere? ;)

Welcome, brother. The first step is admitting we have a problem. :) One fallout from this long wait is gonna drive my wife crazy - I've discovered a TON of 3rd party/aftermarket updates/upgrades for a truck I don't even have yet... Maybe we really SHOULD open a support group...

I finally found mine after almost a year. Staying grounded in truth and fact really helps. Here are some truths that helped me.
    1. You can request but can’t order from Toyota.
    2. Dealers can’t promise anything until they have the VIN of the truck they have an allotment on from Toyota
    3. Expanding your search could speed up finding the exact truck you desire. I found mine in Pennsylvania and flew from Chicago to get it. Searching 500 mile radius online several times a week helped pass the time. Toyota build site has place to check dealer inventory by zip code at bottom of build page after you build your truck. Autotrader and other sites list new and used Tundras. That is where I found mine.
    4. Getting the exact truck you want is awesome and is worth the wait.
5.if you are short on patience be flexible on color and options to shorten your wait.
    6. Being part of this forum really helps pass the time, is educational and is hilarious at times.

Good luck with your purchase. Hope you find your truck soon.
