If you look around there are dealers starting to offer good discounts. This particular dealer is discounting all of their vehicles. The market is starting to soften.
But, not in Colorado. They are still gouging people and people are paying it. It’s sad.
It appears to all be dependent on the market you are in. I am willing to travel to save.

noticed the same thing here in PA and been wondering why myself. Most dealerships have some trucks but the Ram ones I passed look like they can't fit another truck on the lot.

I would go with neither, but considering my brother's ram already has a leaking exhaust at the 3 year mark, I would avoid Ram.

Tough decision since the new Tundra has been reportedly less than stellar! Good luck with whatever you choose!

Currently sitting at DIA for a flight to SLC to pick up my Ram. I’m aware of the manifold bolts and it has been corrected in model year 22. With that said, I will be buying an extended warranty.
I sold my Tundra last night for 35 cash. It was a great truck and I’ll miss it. It totaled 7 trips back to the dealer. Mainly for the alcohol density issue which Toyota never corrected. That in itself really pissed me off. Once for a blower fan and now for the cam tower which I just noticed last week. That is a major fix I won’t be dealing with.

I am a huge Toyota guy but I just could not get behind the new GEN Tundra. I gave them a chance.

I will remain with this community if you’ll all still have me. This is a wonderful group with some extremely intelligent people. I will be happy to report on this new 23 Ram so that anyone here that is on the fence can gain info.

    Pics to come..

Thank you! Truth be told, I never thought I would buy a Ram. I may regret it. I’ll hang out and see what Toyota comes up with here in the next 5 years. Odds are I’ll be back.
I still have 2 Yotas in the family!

I dunno. Years ago there's no way in *HELL* you could have paid me to own a Ram. Now it's different. I know 3 guys @ work who own them, and while one had minor issues, the other two have not...and all 3 of them have anywhere from 40 - 100K on their vehicles and are very happy with them. With that said, local dealership is also one of the good ones, and I've always said buying a vehicle is a mix of the vehicle quality and the dealership quality.

One of the factors for me was that there is a dealer 2 miles from me. I really hope they are a quality service department.

Agreed. A huge part of the issue I bought my Tundra is because I started having little issues here and there with my '13 F150, and *every* issue required a fight to get warranty service. Meanwhile the local Toyota dealership just takes care of the stuff I bring in.

I did not. At the end of the day, I didn’t need it. Ram Rebel 1500
5.7L Hemi ETorque. I’m happy to stay with the V8 engine.

I'd probably go Ram over Chevy. Both continue to have their problems. I have known a couple Chevy owners with diff/engine problems that sent the trucks to the graveyard. One very high mileage that had powertrain problems periodically through its life, the other a lower mileage 2010 that got dumped in the 100K range because the motor was going. They will run for a long time but may run poorly for much of that. Rams OTOH are known for exhaust manifold leaks. Still a fan of that hemi as it's been on the market getting field tested for 20 years so I feel like they have to have nailed down at least certain aspects of it. Ram is known for best ride and interior among the half tons.

I am in an F150 Powerboost though. Interior and ride not quite on par with the Ram but propower on board and top straight line performance even over the Chevy 6.2 won me over. Right before I settled on the Ford I was looking at Rams and would've ended up in one if what I was looking for showed up on a lot. But while I was eyeballing Rams and always finding key features missing I started to read about the Fords and found my Powerboost.

As someone else said though, Rams were surprisingly plentiful at the time when Ford and Chevy dealers might have 1-2 trucks at a time to look at.

And how long have the 5.3 and 6.2 been on the market again?

I could be wrong, but if I'm not mistaken, the current iteration of the 5.7 Hemis have a lot more in common with previous 5.7 Hemi iterations than the 5.3/6.2's have with their previous iterations.

Could be so. I thought they were pretty similar other than AFM vs. DFM.
