When it gets really cold outside, 10 degrees or less, my steering wheel makes an annoying squeak when making right hand turns. When it warms up to maybe 25-30 the squeak goes away. Weird

Most annoying thing is the kick panel by the parking brake never sitting in there correctly after taking it out the first time. It’s been out 72 times since and despite appearing to be in place at time always ends up wonky. Passenger side goes back no problem.

My truck has recently started complaining to me about not having a supercharger.

    So annoying.

When I go to use 4wd but hadnt used it in a while, it will not engage. The 2wd/4wd lights start flashing with an annoying af sound going off. Have to crawl under the truck and lightly tap the actuator...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Fuel injector cut off when you let your foot off gas, then it isn't very smooth when they fire back up while pressing accelerator again. I like my old (pre fuel saving tactics) truck with an auto 4 speed that can coast when i let off the gas pedal. Yeah, not a big deal but i have learned to feather it a bit to prevent it from engaging. Wish there was a way to tune that out.

It's not specific to the Tundra but Spotify is the absolute worst app for resuming play after being closed, force closed, removed from app screen, etc.

Gauges that are not back-lit without lights on, power outlets that are not on with key off, rear seat back that does not fold forward and no under seat storage but I do like the flat floor. I struggle read the gauges with sunglasses and in low light conditions when headlights are not needed. I did not have this problem with either of my Tacomas. I think it is stupid that the mirror switch is not illuminated but I have no need to use it once mirrors are set.

there's a thread on a solution for this. Cartrimhome.com I believe is the website. But just site search the "auto up down all 4 windows" in the 2.5 gen forum

Am I correct in saying that NO ONE has figured out a solution to the remote start turning off when the truck door is opened?! I’ve been searching for an aftermarket solution, but still haven’t found one.

Be aware these switches are timer based. They continue to apply current to the motor for a prescribed amount of time even after the window reaches full up or down.

Not sure what that means for longevity of the motor.

Thanks for the link. The others that I’ve seen only work with key start. Does this one work with push to start?

This model, when I read the specs for the push to start, still shuts down when any door is opened. It’s essentially no different than the factory setting that shuts off for the same reason. Maybe the key start option is different, but unfortunately this isn’t fixing the problem

There's nothing that can be done to get around the push start/remote start/door open issue. It's been discussed and explored to exhaustion on this forum. I messed with it for a while, trying to find a workaround on my wife's Highlander.

Okay, so that’s why my post was asking if I was correct in assuming no one has found a workaround for that issue. I had hoped your link meant this kit bypassed the door issue. Completely illogical issue for Toyota to have. The same engine cut off switch could be applied to the brake pedal, the transmission when switched into gear, or the steering wheel turning more than a few degrees.

thank you for taking the time to shoot the link over, anyway!

It wasn't my link - just chiming in that I've also been frustrated with that setup, lol. Unfortunately I don't think Toyota gives a sh*t about logic on this issue.

Yep, I have no use for auto up. Don't roll my windows down enough. Fords use to have plastic parts on the motor gear that would break before digits. When mine broke I went to a junk yard and they sold aftermarket ones with heavy springs that would probably result in losing a finger.
