My tundra has the little button beside the mirror adjuster buttons that has a picture of the side mirrors with a little arrow on it. I’m assuming this allows your side mirrors to fold in when needed. The button does nothing, I press it with the L or the R mirror adjust or buttons pushed in, or without them pushed in. Turn the truck on or off. Checked all the fuses. Nothing. This would be very useful to me it would allow me to pull my truck in my garage to keep snow/hail off of it. I don’t want to push them in manually in case it messes the motors up that push the mirrors in and out. Any advice?

Did you buy this truck new or used?

That button would indicate power folding and should fold both mirrors in. 1) need to make sure the power folding wiring is there (either came with it as an option from factory or previous owner added it) 2) that the mirrors on the vehicle are power fold.

I added this on my 2018 and had to run wires from the switch to both mirrors and to power.

Aftermarket halo headlights with HID, various LED bulb replacements. 17" Fuel Blitz wheels with some 33" Nitto terra grapplers. Hoodscoop, nfab nerfbars, Bushwacker flares. No-name aftermarket grille, led fender extensions. Black Horse bambi-basher. Various offroad lights.
You should be able to fold them manually without hurting it. I can on my '08 limited. Seem to remember that those motors going out was a fairly common problem when I looked into it on mine (drivers side quit working).

I tried folding them in manually and didn’t have any resistance or anything so I can park it my garage now which is cool. But if they are wired for auto fold I’d like to be able to use that feature. How do I check if it’s wired without damaging them? I bought it used last week.

You can try to access the mirror wiring connector, which is behind that lil' plastic wing above the interior door panel. If you can count the wires/colors you should be able to tell, depending on the options you have. One of the members has provided this site with excellent wiring diagrams, but you'll have to search for them (I havent been around for a bit and have forgotten where to find them). The limited trim was primo in '08, so my guess would be you have/had them. There should be some resistance though when you manually rotate them. Mine pop up a little bit then rotate, but theres a decently strong spring pulling them down against the motor cog wheel/spindle thingamajig :D.

Check the build link in my signature.
The 2007-2009 Limited trim came with power folding mirrors (even in the trucks without the seat position memory). The wiring should be there. But, as @Gravy mentioned, there’s a good chance the motor has just worn out/failed.
