New entertainment update?

Picked up my truck from the dealership and this came up with android navigation

 

Split screen is here!

Anything for the 98% of us with iPhones? Or are we just stuck without a split screen?

 

It’s there in Apple CarPlay, you just gotta want it In fairness, it’s not obvious, but hit the “icons button” in the lower left of CarPlay, then you’ll see the icon change to a larger rectangle with a few smaller ones in the left. That’s the split screen.

I'm more surprise android auto was never was split screen. Been iphone user for years and haven't used an android since the HTC dream. Switched to apple when the iPhone 6 came out.

 

My only problem with the split screen is that it only shows the various CarPlay or AA components so you only see the music whilst navigating if the music is playing in the SXM app, not via the native truck SXM receiver and radio. I wish there was a way to have a mode where you can mix and match vehicle and CarPlay/AA components. I know, the SXM app works fine... until you lose the LTE cell signal. Which happens a LOT on the road.

 

Yup and that is why I was saying it is a little quirky....it is a series of steps to get back to the truck's native SXM....NOT very intuitive but I kinda like the split screen now regardless.
