    Hi I am a new member to this forum . Having issues with my rear end . Mechanic friend recommended to replace rear differential carrier assembly. Anyone know any parts place or cheaper wrecker so I can get a used carrier . Btw gear ratio is 4:30 . 2007 tundra SR5 double cab 5.7 V8 . Thank you.

    Start looking at local wreckers, ebay, LKQ, Craigslist. I suggest calling vs writing...

    Be sure to confirm what you need, just the 3rd member (center carrier section) or the whole axle with drive shafts. Shipping the whole housing assembly will be spendy.

    Did it run out of oil? They're pretty hard to kill otherwise.

    Hi thank you for the suggestion. It's grinding not stuck yet . No leaking from the housing . Rusty but no sign of leaks . Just grind when I drive it. Now stop driving cause don't wanna jammed it and tow . My mechanic friend checked the fluids and it's full of metal debris silver shiny looks .

    Too many, but not enough....
    Its weird that it would grind like that. Was it in an accident? Is the truck lifted?
