    Gotcha
    Yep - rivets
Gotta drill them out…not really any other option. It’ll leave a hole behind where each one was. You could fill with black caulk…

Now I know this thread is for CV, and I’m sure it’s a great product.
But I went the scamazon route. Search for “2020 Tundra console safe” and any number of results will all be essentially the same safe I bought for about $165. It is a half-width safe but has a full top “rim” (and bottom) and comes with a top tray that will go in the open spot. That setup will hide any holes left from drilling out your rivet holes.

just know, there’s a 96.82% chance (based on careful statistical analysis) that you’ll receive one with the top corner bent/dented. Some medium coercion with a dead-blow hammer or rubber mallet and maybe a little flat black touch up paint and it’ll be just fine.

How's the lock working out? I have one in my cart, but I'm waiting to add a couple of other things before I order. Any problems so far?

None! I haven't even charged it yet. Use it a few times a week. Still incredibly convenient.

Hey @MedCityMoto, any update on how well this lock is holding up?

something to consider and it may differ state by state, the ability of LEO to use your finger print to unlock the vault or your phone. To open via code, they need a search warrant, including your phone. but using biosecurity is different, based on the same premise that is used when they use fingerprints for ID and potential criminal history search; they do not need a warrant to get your fingerprints. That same logic was used in court case justifying unlocking a phone using the person's finger print. So if you use biometrics for security, be aware of the issues.

I hate to break it to you, but most will just say "Get the crowbar" and let the courts settle it later.

Possibly but that mentality is rare. Most will try the soft approach first, asking for permission and that's your choice if you want to give it. If that happened to me, i would probably say no even if it was empty. Then again, I always carry the equivalent of a "faraday bag" with me, and if we arrest an individual, their phone goes right in the bag, and we open it under the proper guidelines.
