I'm looking for a Blue Tooth speaker to hook up to our Samsung TV. I don't want a "System", just a base station type thing that sits on the end table between us when we watch TV. Since we've been streaming the volume fluctuates so much between services and even shows in a service. Thought haven't a half way decent external speaker would help.

    Thanks.

Wow that was quick, Thanks! Soundbar would be overkill for us I think. Will check out the Flip.

I use the Roku sound bar for an external speaker and streaming interface device. It plugs in to an ARC port on your tv and can provide 4k signals. Catch them on sale occasionally.

If you happen to be using a Fire Stick and have alexa's, you can setup the tv sond output to go through alexa (i think its called Alexa Home Theater).
Works pretty well, i set this up for my parents.

I personally own a Sonos Beam, mainly because when I bought our last speakers, I realized 99% of what went through the speakers was either from the TV, video games, or Bluetooth. Not cheap (3 speakers and the Beam were like $800) but I've owned them for 4 years and absolutely love them.
