Just guessing but it sounds like a wiring issue. Were any wires or wiring harness disturbed during the amp step installation?

Are the steps for your specific year truck? If not it can screw with the ecu.

If you just pull the obdii plug do you still throw codes?

Power issues due to wiring. Several ECUs are offline either because they no longer have power or you shorted/disconnected the communication line.

Yeah, don’t use the yellow wire looms or harnesses for power. Things go boom

As @agrestic1 asked did you use the plug and play or did you tap into the kickbox wiring?

The power comes from a line run to the battery.
The module gets zip tied in place in the corner behind the master cylinder.
I didn't have the OBD II Plug, I just simply connected (posi-tapped) the AMP wires to the proper 'open door' trigger OEM wiring in each front kickplate.

Ok Thanks.... I posi -tapped mine also.. If you can't figure what the problem is, I'd call AMP Research.... they've been helpful when I called them..
