    Hello everyone,
My 17 tundra rear passenger side window decided it no longer wanted to go up. I’ve checked the fuses, child saftey and verified the switch is working. When I press down from the rear door I can hear the motor start however I hear nothing when I try to go up. When pressing the driver side master switch I hear nothing up or down. Any ideas? Thanks all!

    Maybe, the window regulator.

In the meantime, see if you can physically manipulate (put light pressure) on the glass from various angles as you are pressing the switch. Sometimes things (leaves, pine needles, potato chips, etc.) get caught in the tracks, and if you can get it to raise back up I'd leave it there until you have the time to pull the door panel off and take a closer look.

    Good luck!

I’ve got the door panel off, window is free of debris and positioned properly. I’m getting power to the motor. Thinking the motor is junk. It’s midnight my time in Colorado. I’ve gotta take the kids on a daddy day to the museum tomorrow morning. Got the motor out and pinned up glass with a piece of wood (classy). Any thought why the motor only functions in the up position? Thanks a ton!

Not sure if you have a good scan tool at all with bi directional control, but if you do, hook it up to your obd2 port and try forcing the window up/down. If it works, you’ve eliminated the motor and regulator. When I got my current scan tool, I insisted it had this feature. Makes troubleshooting so much quicker.
