first I want to apologize if a thread already exists, you can point me to it and I appreciate the help.

I got on my truck for a trip to hardware store which is 20 miles from home. with outside temperature of 10°F I noticed the heater not throwing any heat. I filled the tank with gas, went to the hardware store, finished and started driving home. on the way home the 4Lo and VSC off lights started blinking. After a few miles, hoping I make it home, I noticed a decrease in power from the engine. at a stop sign, the truck stalled and the A/T oil temp light tuned on. called a tow truck and after 20 minutes of waiting I cranked the engine and truck turned on but struggled a little at idle. turned it off immediately to wait for tow truck. Next day I noticed something sagging from under truck. looked under the rear bed and saw the two straps for the fuel tank completely rusted and one was broken off. the fuel tank was half off.

I know I have to replace those fuel tank straps and see if the sagging pulled a wire or damaged the hoses but has anyone heard of this?

    please help.

A sagging fuel tank is way worse than flashing lights. Lots of wtf here.

Yikes. Fix what’s broken and then see if you have any recurring issues and or codes.

What help are you looking for? I’m assuming salt corrosion on the tank straps?
