Had to get some body work done after hitting a deer. Ended up with a new driver's side headlight assembly. When I first used them, the new light was much higher than the other, so I adjusted it down. But it seems like when I use my brights it goes even lower. Is it possible to get the wiring backwards? How do I determine which filament is being used?

an easier way to check is removing fuses and checking ~ low beam / high beam. And hope that wasn’t an issue as well

If the high beam filament is wired to the low beam switch, would pulling the fuse really show me anything? Not sure I understand how this will help. Thanks for your reply!

    Is it an aftermarket light?

I don't think it is aftermarket. I know they tried to use original parts whenever they were available. I think tomorrow I will try pulling one of the fuses and then compare which filament is energized with the other light. Maybe that will show me something. I have no idea how the body shop could have got it reversed, but that sure is how it is acting.

Gutcha, I only asked because I had a car that was in an accident and needed a new headlight and I knew they used aftermarket and you could tell the difference in quality between the two.
