I recently lost my Tacoma to an accident and am looking to upgrade to a new Tundra crewmax.
Can anyone give me some input on there experiences with gas mileage ?
I don't want to repeat my mistake with a Ram Mega Cab that I made years ago.

    TIA

if you're concerned about fuel mileage....you're looking at the wrong vehicle. stats are easily accessible online showing average of around 15mpg.
keep in mind, your repair bills are typically lower on the tundras since there are typically less issues. it's a trade off i'm willing to take.

This %. I was looking at the new gen 3’s. Decided on a used 2020/2021. Happy paying more for gas over paying for costly mx repairs over time. Easy decision.

Son and I just bought new Limited and 1794. His is 2WD mine 4WD. He got upwards of 22 on his trip home (200 miles) and I get an average of 17-18 around town or highway keeping my foot light!!! Both are hybrids just saying. Love both of them.

EXACTLY. I tell my friends/co-workers this when they try to rag me about my poor fuel mileage. I'll take a vehicle that I trust to start and not leave me stranded vs theirs with their 1 to MAYBE 2 mpg's better.

I keep trucks 10+ years and usually put well over 200k miles on them. Replacing one turbo on the new Tundras would easily out cost any fuel savings. Wish they offered the same v8 but with an electric fan/ac compressor and a 10
Speed tranny to milk 3-4 mpg more out of it. Would be the perfect compromise.

Mileage sucks. Plain and simple. Filling up a 38gal tank sucks harder. Ain’t no way around it.

It has a 38gal tank because it's good on gas!
