Black out letters on tailgate, side steps, Ford tailgate liner modified to fit my Tundra : )
Good morning everyone. Took ownership of my new 2023 Tundra a couple weeks ago. I found that the SR had just about everything I would want in a pick up. What I find most interesting about the entire Toyota experience, is how mysterious Toyota is. Case in point. SR's with a trailer hitch WILL have the side bed rails to tie stuff down, even though on the dealer provided build sheet it only claims you get the head rail. Saw it plain and clear at the dealership. A truck identical to mine in all facets with a hitch, side rails. My truck which happened not to have a hitch, none( this was repeatedly found on many websites across our region). Nobody could answer me why, from the know nothing salesman, to the folks at Toyota( which were also close to know nothing). It wasn't the end of the world as I made my own out of unistrut. I will post photos of that install later. I will also post photos of my tailgate liner. I like the space age composite coating on the baed and gate that Toyota employs. But found that it goobers up pretty easily. I like to use my gate as a work surface for my business activities. The heavy, sometimes jagged or sharp edges of some of the product I work on would do a number on it. When I traded my 2022 TFORD( TRY to fix or repair daily ) I kept the tailgate liner I had bought for it. I'm glad i did, and retro'd it nicely to the Tundra using nifty key tag washers I found on McMaster Carr's website. Watch for my next post later on about the liner and my side rails.

Ahhh.. so that's why Ford called it a Model T... The things you learn on the interwebs. Makes WAY more sense now. :yay:

Glad to hear you are liking your new tundra. I'm interested to see something about the tailgate liner; I've been thinking about adding one to my truck.

Nice ride, similar to mine. Have you noticed wind noise on driver side window area?

Good evening. No I have not. Rides almost as quiet as my 2017 Titan, a few trucks back. ( they have triple laminated glass). I honestly have to say so far so good( unlike my 2022 F250 ).
