I have these Morimoto headlights on my Tundra, and they work great. Except for one thing. Ever since I installed them, I've noticed that if I don't drive my truck for 4-ish days, I can't start my truck due to the battery being discharged below the threshold. As a test, I removed the circuit from the fuse box before flying out of town. Got back, put the fuse back in, and it started right up without any issue.

Any ideas? Great brand, great headlights. Not sure what to do.

What does the other end of the fuse tap power on the lights?

Can you show a top down view to be able to see exactly what fuse you are using?

I think most people use the 10A IGN fuse which is one of the few in the fuse box that is powered/de powered by the key on/off

The IGN spot is it exactly. That’s why I don’t get the leak. Last night noticed one of the brights didn’t come on, so I’m wondering if a loose connection is related…?

although it wouldn’t explain getting past the on/off nature of that spot in the fuse box, would it?

That fuse should be controlled by key on/off.

I am not familiar with the Morimotto wiring at the light. I assume you are using this for LED DRL?

Any chance something else is wrong with the wiring.

Have a voltmeter to test current flow at battery with key off?

I’ve got a voltmeter somewhere. I’ll dig it out. Busy weekend of sports and birthday parties.

Tested the battery this weekend and didn't see any current leakage. Wondering if it's just a battery that started to have cell issues right around the time I installed the lights.

How old is the battery. 4 years is generally the limit. It should have a date sticker on it
