    Tell me about attending Barrett-Jackson?

I have never been and am thinking about going this Saturday since I live 1.5 hrs away. Tickets are $28 at the door which seems cheaper than I recall from previous years. I thought it might be fun to see all the cars and products from the vendors while having a $12 beer(?). Saturday is opening family day and there are no live auctions.

Anyone been in past years and what can you tell me about it, any tips or advice?

It's been many moons ago and the only suggestion I can give is to not take your checkbook or wallet. You will be drooling and wanting to drive home in an older antique.

I had a great time! I did not attend to buy a vehicle. Instead, I treated it like a car show or car expo. Bring your comfortable tennis shoes as you will walk many hours to see everything. It's car heaven and you will want to see it all.

It’s fun! I’ve been a couple of times to various locations to watch. My brother rebuilds older vehicles no one wants (apparently) & usually sells his on Thursday or Friday morning. He does excellent work but his kind of restorations or rebuilds are not muscle cars. There’s all kinds of vehicles to look at so there’s something for everyone’s preference. Make sure you have comfortable shoes & wear sunscreen! You’ll walk a couple of miles at your own pace so it does count as a workout.

Wife took me as my 40th Bday present right before COVID closed everything. Incredible. It's a city of cars. Bring comfortable shoes and make a day of it. You'll want to try to get to as much of it as you can once you really see how massive it is.

OK so we went this Saturday and had fun. It was like a state fair for cars but without all the animal smells.

The wife and I did the Supra thrill ride where they take you around a drifting course and my wife is still smiling.
The entrance lines were all messed up but that is par for a 3rd party security / event company running the show
I cannot afford the shift know on several cars
There was a show car contest area by the main stage. Several children were touching the cars and security said nothing. If I was an owner I would have freaked out.
Beers were $10 and mixed drinks $12. Worse than a sporting event but expected. Sandwiched were higher yet.
Parking was also messed up and the signs were poor to get into the place. Not unextend either these days.
I was surprised there were not more car accessory vendors there. No tire reps and only 1 wheel mfg.
If you were a single gal that would be the place to try to pick up some rich dude.
I don't know if I will go next year but definitely fun at least once.

What sporting event? Beers are $14.50 at the U of A and D’backs games.

Ok, maybe it has been a while since I went to a game. I am turning into my dad and I remember when gas was $0.99 a gallon.
