Hello from Dallas Tx area. I have a question I'm sure is already answered in here somewhere but I'm going to ask it anyway. I'm looking to beef up the rear end of my Tundra and I'm wondering if it's better to add an extra leaf spring or go with heavy duty shocks? I don't pull a trailer often but when I do (hauling hay trailer or even my boat) the rear seems to squat somewhat. Especially when I do haul anything heavy (again hay). I've been looking on here and after a while I get crosseyed and have to walk away! Any help would be appreciated!

There is no substitute for replacement HD leaf packs. That said I have a RAS HD kit and yellow Sumo springs in conjunction with HD leaf packs on my truck because I have been known to load a bit heavy at times and don't want to flatten the high dollar leaf packs that provide the rear lift on my truck. So far, it's working out well when I need it. When I don't, it corners as if on rails.IMG_20220706_063643_01.jpg

What kind of squat do you get with a load like that? Are you using Deaver springs?

Dobinson's 5+2 HD springs, bout 2.5" drop maybe if you include tire ovality. That's a bit over 3k over and behind the axle, mostly behind.

I wouldn't drive it like normal to compare. Only short slow distances, maybe ten miles at 40 or 45. No issues. BDS traction bars prevent any possible axle wrap during take off.
