    1st gen only... Toyota moved to autoliv if I remember correctly for 07 and above.

    My thoughts also. Was the truck previously wrecked? Were modifications made? There are a lot of things that would be looked at and the fingers can point back at you if you did ANY mods that affect that area and wiring or sensors.

    I just had my airbags in the Lexus swapped out due to the recall of Takata airbags, but maybe others model Toyotas were not effected by this???

    There where alot of Toyota's not effect by the recall. Takata has filed for bankruptcy in the wake of this..

    I bet. Air bags are not cheap.

    it was technically inflators that caused all the problems not the air bags themselves.
