I've spent 12 hours in the mud with shovels and 2x4's and never let anyone hook a rope onto my anything. I've always been the hooker, and i know how to bounce a strap vs a chain. Blame the dmv for failing the hookee.

Pretty much with some more details about what you should use. I thought it was interesting and I don't even off road.

Burn. I deserve that. Haha. There was a small tree I was trying to save directly next to it so I f'ed up my hinge. No excuses though.

Maybe this will earn me some points back?

I'm not hardcore but offroad but I've pulled out plenty of SuperDutys out of the sand when they buried it to the frame out on the beach. Those 24" rimz and mud tires don't help much in the sugar sand. They were always shocked the little Taco could yank them out with just a kinetic rope.

Those kinetic ropes are pretty impressive.

Not bad, not bad. Next time, hit the wedge with your Ford issued purse and it'll go over first time.

Yea Toyota quality has really suffered. New tundra is basically just a Camry with a bed. Those beeps also never shut up. It's insane.

Not really unique to Tundra to be honest. My F-150 beeps more than I'd like too. Heaven forbid I open the door with the truck in gear or get out with my key in my pocket. Oh and if the truck is not in gear when I shut it off it puts itself in Park. But I guess on the bright side I don't "rent" my remote start and it stays running when I open the doors.

So you're back to "Toyota bad"? Are you still on "Ford bad"? What are you going to try next?

I've come close to losing it when shut the door with truck on and forget I have the keys, it always honks right when I'm directly adjacent to the horn and I never see it coming. Need Forscan

I can't stand all the beeping on my truck.

Do the '22 Tundras still beep 8 freaking times when you close a door with the key outside the truck?

I want to get or borrow a Techstream. I'm going to turn the seat belt beeping, key outside the truck while shutting a door beeping, and lock attempt with a door open beeping all OFF. And I'll set my turn signal to 5 blinks instead of 3.

Wheeewww. You hadnt chimed in on this thread in days, I was worried
Careful, making fun of our trucks "starting and running" is high risk for a Ford owner

Fortunately, I don't want one. I don't like paying new prices for used trucks with 100,000+ kms.

I dont think i'll ever buy anything newer than '07.

I feel the need, the need for carbs and clutch pedals.

Ha ha, y’all will be pleased to know I just got my first recall notice in the mail yesterday. Apparently the wiper motor may need to be replaced. Part availability expected third quarter 2023.

Correct. It's annoying having the truck whine like a needy ex when I hop out to check the mail. Gonna be changing that soon.

It still yells at me, just in a different tone. Plus leaving my door open on a busy street is a great way to lose my door.

Ahh that sucks. In all seriousness no one wants to see that.

in less seriousness, you have just have to steal a squeegee from the gas station to clear your windshield

You're supposed to pull up to the mailbox on the wrong side of the street so it's faster and easier to get your mail, like every other person on the planet.

Ah, I see. That way I can have the front of my truck potentially get hit instead of the rear. My mailbox is less than 40 feet from a corner into the subdivision which people take way too fast.

For reference, this is the type of mailbox I have. You can't drive up to arm's reach of it without driving on the sidewalk.

I like to hit the mailbox on my way in from running errands. I don't usually feel like wandering out and crossing the busy road, especially in winter with big windrows down the middle of it. Either that or we'll check it while out for a walk. To be honest, we might check the mail once a week, sometimes only once every couple weeks. Depends if we're expecting something or not and if we remember.

Just saw that ford is deleting the bed camera starting with builds next week.
I don’t use mine often but it’s nice to have. They are the king of deleting stuff that are cool but not deal breakers I swear.
