All I did was change the starter on my 2000 SR-5 4.7 4x4. Now I have all these codes and a big handful of problems. The APP has 5 V and the signal wire moves from 2.3 to 5 V when the throttle body cable is turned. The TPS has 5 V on the wire and 2.3 on the signal wire but never moves in voltage when the throttlebody is turned. The throttle body butterfly clicks open when 12 V power is applied directly into the throttle body motor plug. The TPS responds correctly when bench tested, (ohms reduction). What next?

    Hello,
I would call Keith Carty of Dirty Deeds Industries and pick his brain. No one knows Tundra's like Keith does. He is out of the office most days, but is always available via phone. You can call or text him anytime at 760-877-4234. He does take many calls and texts a day, but is very good at getting back to everyone.

    Thanks, Shawna, DDI

I threw a P1226 after replacing my starter along with a loss of throttle control. Replaced the TB with a new Toyota unit which didn’t solve the problem. Anyone have any idea what’s going on? I’ve triple checked all my plugs and wiring. Truck idles and runs great, but no throttle unless I press it 2/3 down. Seems like this has happened to a few people on here.

Throttle cable was properly adjusted on both the old TB and the new TB. The FSM only says to check the ETCM and ECM in case of a P1226. Figured my ETCM finally died considering the truck has 250k miles on it, but no dice. Gonna grab a oscilloscope to check my ECM but figured I check for alternative solutions here considering the OP had what seems to be an identical issue. Weird that it would pop up after a starter swap.

May want to make a new thread in the 1st gen section and you'll get more traffic.
