SR / SR5 Sideview Mirror Cap Fitment

I have a base model 2023 Tundra SR5, no packages. I noticed the sideview mirrors it came with are the same as the SR ones, plain black plastic without the turn signal lights. I was looking at replacing the mirror caps with color-matched ones, but I don't know if any color-matched mirror caps would fit the assembly without that turn signal light. Has anyone tried swapping mirror caps like this? Any insight would be appreciated!

 

If it’s like the previous gen and is already wired for turn signals, maybe buy new side mirrors with signals and wire them up. Two upgrade in one!

 

Did you ever find anything out? I have a 22 SR and can’t seem to find any white mirror caps for it.

 

Yeah, unfortunately they are not the same fitment because the integrated turn signal on higher trims alters the shape slightly. So the two options for we SR mirror folks are either a) replace the entire assembly with the turn signal light assembly (it's plug n' play) or b) have the current mirror caps painted.

 

That’s dumb. I’ll probably replace them then. Only makes sense.

 

Yea I agree. Would've made life a lot easier for everyone if they just kept the same fitment for all models. But what do I know, I'm just the customer

That being said, I did replace my assemblies, and it looks sooo much better.
