    Welcome from Colorado.

I upgraded my 2000 in August. I didn't want new(read I wanted a V8) so the easiest way for me was to set some search parameters in CarMax and then wait.

Took lessthan a day for the hit I wanted. Had it shipped, for no charge, from St. Louis, and got a 24 hour test drive and then a 30 day/1500 mile no questions or charges return policy. Could not be happier with the truck or buying experience. Good luck!

My go-to when shopping for any used vehicle are three websites: Cargurus, Cars.com, and Autotrader.com

Don't let distance away be an overriding factor; drive or ship as necessary to get the truck you want.

When shopping for any Tundra (or Tacoma especially), check the frame and cab/bed underbodies thoroughly for rust! A little rust isn't necessarily a deal-killer, but you want to know what you've got going in...

Hopefully maintenance records for the truck are available.

Budget for maintenance items often overlooked (transmission, differentials, transfer case, power steering, brake fluid, anti-freeze...)
