New to me 2010 DC 4.6 4x4 with 152k miles. Just had tires balanced but have a mild shimmy in the steering wheel. Tires were out of balance but are rolling smoothly now. Anyone had this on these trucks? Possible tie rod? Ball joints? Tires seem to be round. No pulsation in the brake pedal.3DD73C98-99EC-4791-A285-0A5A760932C3.jpg

No other symptoms. Handling is nice and crisp. Ride is smooth. I’m sure it is a worn component. I’m just not up on t-shooting front end parts. I do feel/hear a single click/pop when turning the wheel from a dead stop. Got the Wifey to turn the wheel while I observed underneath but couldn’t visually confirm excess movement in ball joints and tie Rod ends. Stumped! Probably need to jack it up and pry on things.

I have the same issue at 50-60. I know for sure ive narrowed it down to warn out lower ball joint, uca ball joint and the tie rod being out. Im at 183K miles lifted on OEM orginal joints so i know shes had it.

I’m at 152000 and mine disappears at about 50. Most noticeable 25-45.

Could be a lot of things but don't rule out one of the front wheel bearings. At 155k mile I developed a slight shimmy at 55-60 mph and got the tires balanced twice with no luck.
Ended up being the front right wheel bearing.

Would definitely have a very noticeable noise with a bearing loose enough to cause a shimmy.

slight shimmy and no noise at early stage of bearing wear, at least for me.
My right rear bearing went at 125K and it had a low pitch noise at highway speed that I did nothing it about until 130K
at which point it was much louder.

For the rear bearing I ended up buying the complete assembly from rockAuto which came with the axle shaft, new backing plate and bearing all assembled, plug and play.
My backing plate was rusted out and I didn't want to deal with getting the bearing on and off. I replaced both sides.

    Wow! How much was shipping?

My truck is a Texas/Ga truck so no rust. Bought oem bearing assy. I should have done what you did. Atlanta Driveline will install the bearing.
