many years ago I was given some moose meat from the owners of WARN Winch's when we did some work for them and a recipe for Moose chili, to this day it was the best chili I have ever ate. We ended up moving and that recipe was lost which makes me very sad, so if any of you have a recipe for that I would love to see it. yes, I know meat can be substituted but....not the same unless you have made it that way for years, maybe some of the hunters here has one?

The year before last i used beef and elk and bacon, and it turned out really good. Made several batches, deer too. Last year i didnt have any fancy meat, and got 2nd (but won because neighbors cleaned my crock pot). Wonder if i could make it out of cat meat and place top 3... got 4 strays that hang out here. I appreciate the protection from rodents, but if i dont feed the strays they fight the cats i inherited. 'My cat' is 17, and mostly gets fed inside. But those intruders will try to fight her anyway.

I freeze my leftover roast beef. Then shred that up when making chili. Also cook a couple of links of sweet Italian sausage and slice it up.
