A few weeks ago while at the hunting camp, I noticed that when I had my tailgate down, the bed lights stayed on. It appears that you can turn the bed/brake light either on, off, or leave on auto. I'm sure the LEDs dont use much battery, but it's kinda annoying when the tailgate is down, the lights won't go off. Is this normal?

My truck was parked and the tailgate was down to make my ice chest easily accessible. I'll check next time and see if they go off after 20 minutes.

Or you can turn them off from the dash switch that controls the interior also. The off/auto/on switch.

Right now, they are turned off, but I'll probably turn them back on. Just wish they automatically turned off after a couple minutes instead of 20 minutes as someone stated earlier.
