I got my truck 2020 from a friend that bought the truck new. He quit driving it 2015 and it sat in the yard until I had it shipped to me. I got the truck with 78K not knowing if it would start or run. I had to kill wasps that had set up shop inside the cab and under the hood. I put a battery in and got it started, but it was running very rough and showing all kinds of codes. I had to replace all of the rubber hoses, sensors to clear the codes. I wanted to drive a while before putting too much work into it. It started to run better and I replaced the belt, including timing belt, water pump, hoses, water pump and all fluids. I drove it for a couple of tanks, trusted it enough to move forward. Then I found 2020 17" Toy 4runner take offs and replaced the tires. I got the truck to pull my 19ft camper. I installed tow hitch, wiring, trailer brake controller and a heavy duty front sway bar. I replaced all the brakes with the bigger brake upgrade and new shocks front and back. Inside got a new Pioneer with rear camera and new speakers front and back. Finally with functional stuff done and repainted the exterior and added a bedcover. I now have 115k and have made several long trips with my camper. So far it's running good and want to learn more about the truck, so I am joining this forum. thanks, lesbefore tundra paint.jpgIMG_2267.jpg

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! It sounds like there may be some things we could learn from you based on your experiences with bringing this classic back to life!
