My 2008 Limited is no longer, two deer strikes in a month and USAA totaled it, front is obvious but the other one is drivers side, trans cooler broke and lost a lot of fluid on the way home a couple miles away. Im sad because this truck was still running great and we went lots of places together. Ended with 286K Miles. Also a picture of the new one, Tundra #4. 0172587A-423F-4A1E-9427-BD86F7E0D370.jpg1BA8BD38-3BDB-4CD9-8A2D-33460847DAEA.jpg5B301C3A-26AE-43E1-AA21-CE8B560FFCA1.jpg

They totaled your truck for that? That does not look any way near damaged enough for them to total it out.

Between the two hits, one you cant see in the picture, is over 7K and we dont know the mechanical damage due to the trans cooler splitting. BTW collision place said you get over 200K and they total them more often.

It was pretty rough behind all that, plus the drivers fender, door and passenger door were trashed due to the previous claim three weeks earlier. No body shop was willing to take in a cash deal they only wanted insurance claims. I would have spent over 7K to fix it. I dont have time for all that so I choose to move on, Its ok.

Bummer. That was a clean looking truck before the two deer strikes. The DC 2nd gen is one of my favorite trucks....and silver is even better.

    Enjoy the new 3rd gen!

I knew a guy who went from that generation to the newest generation. Said from a quality standpoint, he had alot of regrets.
