I ended up buying a MagSafe charger from mouse and I just used command strips to hold it in place. I didn't really like how far away the phone was with the builtin charger anyway (not to mention the fact that it didn't ever work). I originally wanted to purchase the journey leather wrapped charger but the black one was sold out. There is a tan one for those with tan interiors though that would probably look good.

I am just trying it out for now. I wanted to leave the tabs on the command strip accessible so that I could take it off if I don't like it. I'm using a 14 Pro. Phone tucks in very nicely. Doesn't hang over on the left and doesn't touch the drive mode knob either. Only issue seems to be if you want to put the gear shifter into S mode.

Overall it is a much more convenient spot for my phone and it doesn't block anything. Based on some other pictures I have seen this mounting location would not be possible on 4x4 option. Leather version would have looked much cleaner but I think I will stick with it.IMG_5377.HEIC.jpgMagSafe-BB-1-4.jpg.jpg
