Does anyone know if there is a fixed front air dam on one of the models? Not the automatic one. I know the TRD’s don’t

I believe the TRD Offroad package has an air dam delete in the options list. At least in Canada anyway.

If there is a fixed one, I'm thinking about adding it for the aerodynamics. I have an SR5 TRD so I don’t have one at all, fixed or electric

makes no sense that the Canadian TRD models have them removed, but American TRD version retain the active air dam

What are the differences between CEPA and EPA? US could have more strict standards which would increase the benefit of the air dam. CEPA would be more lenient, therefore putting more $ in Toyotas pocket saving on parts/part allocation.

Keep in mind use, Mr. Toyota Truck (Sweers) even said himself that during their testing it negatively affected aero/MPG while towing, so Toyota stores it up when trailering.

At 5%, (being a direct correlation 1:1 between aero and MPG)...

    15k miles / 20 MPG x $5 gal = 3750

    15k miles / (20 x1.05) x $5 gal = $3571

Keep in mind, this is 15k miles at speeds where the air dam is deployed.

also no sense why us canadians get crap rims on TRD packages, why we can't pick any options, why there is zero visibility/tracking available to us, and to all - why there is no auto-4wd system on Tundras. On the plus side we get (aka forced) block heater packages standard lol. ps tow-hooks.

Just leave the actuator in place and connected and remove the actual dam parts. Truck will think its there when it's not. Easy peasy!

Just for reference, I did this with my bumper and it's still throwing codes for some reason.

The motor probably needs to recognize end points, so taking the HW off and leaving the motor connected IMO wont work. You'll need to create a little end point contraption on the motor itself. Dealing with something similar on a different platform.

was thinking you could just insert a trailer adapter harness on the back and it wont ever deploy per the manual :)

I thought about something this morning. Mike Sweers said that when you plug in a 7 pin harness it automatically keeps the air dam up and cancels any use of it as well as the 7 pin connector also stops the truck from slamming on brakes when backing up with a trailer. So is the 7 pin connector the secret answer for all of this?

I just installed some aFe tow hooks on the same truck that you have, and the first step is to deploy the air dam, but mine doesn’t have it either.
