    Good Day Everyone!

Got very lucky on Dec 23rd when someone's financing fell through - ended up driving home a 2023 Crewmax Limited L Hybrid. Drove it approx 200km to my parents' for the holidays on the 24th and had 0 issues. Didn't drive at all on the 25th, but today the app remote starter wouldn't work...I went out to fire it up and I have a whole slew of warning lights and messages: Hybrid System Malfunction, Engine Output reduced, parking brake system malfunction..these all came with different warning notifications on my screen too telling me to contact my dealership (closed today, no answer).

Just browsed the forums and didn't see anyone having the same slew of issues...should I take it for a drive to see if anything resets? Unhook the battery? Or leave it in put and wait to hear back from the dealership tomorrow.

Thanks for reading if you made it this far

I would take it straight to my dealership.

Some people have had success, maybe temporarily, by disconnecting and re-connecting the battery for some warnings. IF you choose to do that I'd take pictures of your before and after battery connection to document that you didn't mess that up. I know it's hard to mess it up, but just being paranoid about impacting warranty. If that does not help IMHO I'd suffer through not doing anything to it till you talk to the dealer. If it's a real and serious problem probably don't want to risk impacting the warranty. Hope this helps and good luck with what ever course you take. And by all means, relax, it will get fixed :)

Daaaaamn....you're way more calm than I would be :)

Disconnecting your battery terminal can't hurt...I would start here.

Does the Electronic Parking Brake disengage when you put it in drive?

Yeah I drove it (very slowly) down the street and the P light goes off but all the other warnings stay the same!

@Paul Moll I appreciate the advice man thanks! I will probably sit tight til tomorrow and I'll try not to think the day with stress haha. I've got the Platinum warranty after it saved my hide with my 2017 Tacoma so whatever is going on I'm fairly confident it will be covered

@Skeletor: As odd as this sounds, I hope it's a "real" problem that they can find and fix. I think some people have had warning lights go away with no apparent real problem, thus haunting them for a future return. Even the OEM 3/36 warranty should cover this for sure. But if it's a gremlin destined to return then your Platinum warranty will be a help too. Sounds like someone needs to take you out to a good meal and a beer...or two...or...

There was a recall notice to update the software for the parking brake but with it being a 23 I'd think it has the latest software in it. Weird stuff indeed...

Just dropped mine off at the stealership with 300 miles and one week of ownership with a cel. The service advisor has the balls to tell me that a $300 diagnostic feee will be charged if the issues is not covered by warranty lol i got a feeling he is setting me up for some bullshit lol

What could you possibly have done to a new truck with 300 miles that wouldn't be covered by warranty? As long as you don't have dirt and water in your it air filter after offroading then they should waive any fees

Those are just the welcome to the Tundra family messages from Toyota, fairly common it seems. I wonder if the bone chilling cold is playing havoc with the hybrid batteries, I know it was playing havoc with other battery vehicles in multiple states the last few days (not taking a charge etc) I know this system is different but who knows with electrical gremlins.....

I would much rather have a major mechanical component fail than have to deal with wondering if I am sitting on an electrical gremlin time bomb. Any vehicle at my house that shows the first sign of an electrical problem and it goes straight to the trading block!

I would have to tell him that we can settle the issue amicably or in court, his choice. There is no excuse, other than you setting your new truck on fire intentionally, that the warranty shouldn't cover. Unreal....

He just called and it’s a bad 02 sensor. I did ask what would a 300 (250 of the miles was just bringing it home from the dealer) mile 6 day old from purchase have wrong that is not covered by warranty. He said rodent wire damage is on the rise. I would still argue that could of happened at the plant or vpc lol so I’m in a rental since the sensor is 2 weeks out.

A bad O2 sensor creates all that MIL? That's pretty extreme, but what do I know. Seems on such a new truck they could pull an O2 sensor off a vehicle on the lot. Just asking :)
