On my way to work on I-205. Looks like I was following a truck that was dumping red dye on the freeway. Lucky I just applied ceramic wax last week!

yeah, took a few do overs to get it all off. It’s even got into the engine bay, used some Simple Green and my car detailing brushes to get it all off. Few hours of work

Similar story years ago when construction crews were cutting/digging up concrete area of roadway which naturally coated everything in concrete dust. This immediately became a problem when God decided to add rain to the equation. We had customers coming in with little patches of concrete attached to every part of their vehicle you could imagine.

Glad you were able to remove the stuff. Talk about wrong place/wrong time. Ever hear any repercussions for the jackwagon that caused the whole thing?

Around here there used to be big problems with trucks spewing gravel but I think they tightened the laws. It wasn't that trucks were not tarped, but that the tarp would just be over the opening and would barely come down the sides and rear if at all. So at speed the tarp would flap and hard debris would fly out. Those trucks also seemed to be the worst offenders for dilly dallying in the left lane. So cars would be stuck behind them for extended periods having to keep an excessive distance to avoid the debris and wait for the chance to pass while they repeatedly passed cars on the right at a 2 mph speed differential. Then when you get your minute to pass you gun it and fly by as fast as you can praying you can dodge all that flying gunk.

If they were on the news I would look up the company and send them a pic and a bill for a few hours detailing time.

So it was dye for mulch but washes off with water? I wonder if the end user of that mulch knows that.

Cheap mulch fades quickly due to cheap dye. The best mulch uses water resistant dyes.
