Wheel and tire question

My Tundra is a 2018 2Wd SR5 Dbl. Cab, no lift, Sumos in the back. I tow a 6500 lb travel trailer.
I would like to purchase the SCS Ray 10s, 18”s which have a +25 offset. They are 9” wide wheels. According to BFG and Cooper’s websites I will need to step up to a 285 or 295 tire due to the 9” width of the wheel. The max wheel width for a 275/70/18 is 8”. Will the +25 offset allow me to run the 285/70/18 K02s or the Coopers without some sort of lift at the front end to prevent rubbing on the UCAs…and will I need a body mount chop?

 

That would be incorrect. 275/70-18s are can be used with wheels 7 or 8 to up to 9.5 wide. Hit tirerack or discount tire websites and look up the tire you want, in the specs it will show what wheels widths will work. I checked BFG in 275/70 and it shows 7 to 9.5 wide wheels.

275/70, 285/70 both fit stock trucks with stock wheels, no lift or UCA needed. If you change out your wheels to +25 offset, will still work but you will probably need to remove air and mud flaps, or trim them.

 

Yes there are guys on here with 275/70/18’s with SCS wheels and they are fine.

 

I’m running 275/70r18 on method wheels with a 25 offset. 5100’s middle setting. 0 rub and I tow my camper. Prior to leveling I had those exact tires on the stock wheels. No issues.
