So we all know that the winter storm that has been plaguing the country. The cold temps that are affecting a lot of areas that are not used to that kind of cold. So far today here in Northwest PA it's in the single digits with some snow on the ground already this morning even though it was thought that we were going to get rain first and then snow later today. Not the case since the storm had other ideas. Supposed to get 12-18 inches the last time I checked, with the worst of it through the night Friday and all day Saturday. The wind chills make it much worse temps wise. What do you have where you live?

Yep, it was almost 40 degrees here yesterday and now close to Zero without the windchill. I remember when I was a kid we had snow much sooner and cold much earlier as well. People act Winter is something new sometimes.

    Temp -16 windchill -45 to 50
6 inches of dry snow on top of another 12 to 15 that was on the ground already.
Ground blizzard state and counties have pulled plows and shut roads down.

4 to 5 inches of snow tomorrow night forecasted.

Good day for chores in the house, relaxing a bit having a beer and watching the snow blow around.

Our balmy winters make up for our summer “heat” but if I get the urge, sub freezing temps are only 45 minutes away.

-35 here today in the wind. Tooth-crackin' cold, we say. Still out and about though, about 100 miles just driving circles around town so far today.

12* and -3* windchill. One frozen pipe in the attic where the remodel contractor never put the insulation back over the pipe. Hoping now that it’s covered and the shower head is off, enough radiant heat from the house will thaw it. Worst part is it’s in an exterior wall and runs right by the eve vents.

    Insulation, what's insulation?
We're getting warnings of power outages, not from falling trees but because the system isn't geared up for the drain caused by everyone running their heating for so long!
Expecting 11F tonight, nothing by Northern standards but nothing and no-one is geared up for Yankee weather this far south.

Edit: Disclaimer. I did see that the Rams had spent 1000's on some cold weather kit for their Green Bay game, so the Rams are ready.
